    Operatives equipped with required resources:

    We provide all our staff with the necessary plant and technical equipment required for all jobs. All Operatives are provided with tools and equipment.

    Training: Training for our Operatives is on going, which includes in-house product training sessions on information received from suppliers and training sessions held at our supplier’s premises. The levels of qualifications range from NVQ1, NVQ2, NVQ3, NVQ4, City & Guilds, IOSH and First Aid.

    Supervisor Spot Checks

    To monitor our Operatives, spot checks are performed at regular intervals by Supervisors/Senior Managers. These checks may highlight training issues with Operatives. Any issues noted are addressed immediately, with training opportunities provided via toolbox talks. We encourage Operatives to share best practice via refresher training on new products or procedures.

    Health & Safety training: Such as risk awareness, fire safety, asbestos awareness.

    Customer Care: Such as working with vulnerable people and diversity challenges.

    Quality Products: We buy products from the industry’s leading suppliers who regularly send us up dates and news bulletins regarding their products. This information is communicated to all our operatives during regular (monthly) tool box talks and branch meetings. The information received includes their latest hardware/software to update lift equipment and other digitally operated plant.

    Service Reports/ Service Review Meetings

    The submission of service visit reports and invoices are entered into our system on a weekly basis and once complete they are automatically issued to our customers. We use this management information as a means for performance management and also as a basis for identifying potential areas of improvement. Service review meetings allow for ideas to be discussed in partnership, with information being obtained from all parties, and best practice from other contracts being shared.

    We will assign a dedicated Contract Manager to Interserve who will be responsible for managing the client relationship. Open communication and regular updates on services provided, timeframes and performance are vital to successfully managing the relationship and the schedule of works.

    Ensuring Quality of Sub-contractors

    Our preferred subcontractors tend to be small, highly specialised businesses, and we approach agreements as a partnerships. All our retained subcontractors attend regular refresher training in Customer Care, Health & Safety and our Code of Conduct and are supplied with select High-Vis jackets and ID badges.

    Selection to of Sub-Contractors is in accordance with our IS09001 accreditation.

    Our supplier selection includes:

    • Credit check (assessment of the suppliers financial stability)
    • 2 x performance reference checks
    • Supply of appropriate Insurance
    • Supply of appropriate policies and accreditations e.g. Health & Safety, Environmental, Equalities, and Insurance Cover
    • Completion of Sub-contractor Suitability Form

    Supervisor Spot Checks: To monitor sub-contractors in all aspects of work, spot checks are performed at regular intervals by their supervisors. These checks may highlight training issues with Operatives such as inexperience in their early careers or complacency once more experienced. Any issues noted can be addressed immediately or at future training opportunities via toolbox talks. (Any sub-contractor issues are immediately reported with recommendations to be completed before being allowed back onto site).
